Description
Vincent Moon's Petites Planètes is an ever-expanding exploration of the world’s sacred traditions and folklore through film and sound recordings. The most recent offering under this globe-spanning banner is the immersive [Híbridos](http://hibridos.cc/) project, a three-year-plus survey of Brazil’s ever-evolving ritualistic expressions. Moon and his Híbridos partner Priscilla Telmon reflect these rituals while immersing themselves in the ecstatic moment, and their empathetic archival approach brings forth documents of sublime devotion. They offer the huge volume of Híbridos film and album productions under free Creative Commons licenses, making these intimate celebrations accessible to all. This week on Open End, Moon and Telmon offer insight into the project and its continuing expansion as a live, improvised cinema experience. Frosty rounds out the program with an offering of devotional music from around the world.
