Monika Enterprise is a Berlin-based, female-forward record label. The project, now 20-years strong, was founded by Gudrun Gut of Malaria! and Mania D fame. While the label has always facilitated fruitful collaborations, their Monika Werkstatt project brings that emphasis to the forefront. Gudrun Gut will join Frosty for an interview and guest mix to reveal what happens when you bring together groups of talented producers to create new works informed by their energy exchange. This Open End episode will also feature a world premiere tune from Accra, Ghana’s GALTFaculty, plus a mix of music from Israel, Niger, Brazil and field recordings from Frosty’s recent travels in Oaxaca.
