On the Floor – The Noise at Red Bull Music Festival New York

Born out of the confluence of dancehall, hip-hop and reggae en español, reggaeton has evolved from mixtapes recorded in San Juan’s marquesinas to a genre that's produced some of the world’s biggest stars. In celebration of the genre, Red Bull Music Festival New York reunited early pioneers of the sound, the Noise. Founded in San Juan in the early 1990s, the iconic collective of DJs, rappers and producers gave an early platform to current legends. In this session, musical heavyweights DJ Nelson, DJ Negro, Alberto Stylee, Ranking Stone and Micol Super Star take over La Marina for one night only.
