On the Floor – TALsounds at Red Bull Music Festival Chicago

Natalie Chami's TALsounds project combines synth improvisation and ever-increasing live looped vocals. Occasionally a trembling vocal melody sneaks through the room, sometimes the echo of a delay button flashes over her system, spreading like a seismic shockwave in an arrangement of disorienting sounds. TALsounds' complex synth arrangements contrast with the simple poetry of her echoing voice, a distant star hurling increasingly closer to earth. In this session, she performs her haunting sonics at the industrial-style venue Saffron Rails, as part of the Drone Activity night at the Red Bull Music Festival in Chicago.
