On the Floor – Sorry Girls and Graham Van Pelt at Red Bull Music Festival Montréal

As Sorry Girls, Montreal-based singer-songwriter Heather Kirkpatrick and producer-songwriter Dylan Konrad Obront create dreamy pop which takes inspiration from early '80s goth pop and '60s motown outfits. In this episode, they perform at the 10 year anniversary of Arbutus Records. Also on the bill is Graham Van Pelt. Previously the main force behind Montreal-based trio Miracle Fortress, Van Pelt shifted from psychedelic pop to soulful, minimalist house compositions in the vein of Larry Heard and Arthur Russel. Following a move from Quebec to Ontario, Van Pelt channeled his experience of disconnection to a longtime home into an emotionally honest and raw record titled *Time Travel*, released on Arbutus Records earlier this year. In this session, Van Pelt performs tracks from his new record at the label's 10 year anniversary at the Red Bull Music Festival in Montreal.
