On the Floor – Sick Girls at Red Bull Music Festival Berlin

While the two members of Berlin-based DJ duo Sick Girls may have gotten their start working in music at legendary techno clubs Tresor and WMF, but when the minimal wave washed over the city's club scene, the two grew fatigued of the sound and became increasingly fascinated with bass music. Launching their Revolution N°5 party series in 2004, the two brought a more colorful, maximalist sound to Berlin dancefloors, nurturing grime, bass and dancehall in a city usually renowned for stomping 4/4 beats. In this session, the two perform a slamming set at Bass Union, the party celebrating bass music in Berlin.
