Alex Tsiridis from Cassegrain launched his Rhyw alias last year with an EP on Tar Hallow. His second release under the name was the five-track Cave Walls (Part One) on Shifted’s label Avian. The two members of Cassegrain, first met in 2008 while attending the Red Bull Music Academy in Barcelona. While Alex Tsiridis and Hüseyin Evirgen initially continued their production partnership at a distance, the duo’s slow-motion techno blossomed following a joint move to Berlin. Recent years have seen a number of Cassegrain releases, most prominently for Munich’s Prologue imprint, and they have also teamed up with Vienna’s acid-revivalist Tin Man for the *Carnal* EP on the Killekill label.
