Creating high-impact club beats that take direct inspiration for New York’s leagacy of house and ballroom music and culture, producer Quest?onmarc released their *? : ID* EP in the spring of 2017 – drawing from Freud’s concept of the id, creating high-octane ballroom tracks that correspond to different elements of voguing. It’s a culture close to Quest?onmarc’s ears and heart, and one that they put into practise, too – being part of MikeQ’s growing Qween Beat collective and the House of Amazon, Quest?onmarc is part of a new generation of producers balancing on the razor’s edge of preserving the underground essence and history of ballroom culture, while pushing it forward sonically and aesthetically into a new future.
