On the Floor – Nina Kraviz at Red Bull Music Festival Berlin

Nina Kraviz is one of the most compelling figures in contemporary electronic music. A DJ, producer, and occasional singer, her unpredictable, wide-ranging sets include everything from techno and deep house to trance and disco.

Raised in Irkutsk, Siberia, the 2006 Red Bull Music Academy Alum originally worked as a dentist before moonlighting as a DJ in the early 2000s and sang in the group MySpaceRocket.

While MySpaceRocket disbanded, Kraviz continued her ascent as a DJ and released increasingly prominent singles like 2012’s heavily-remixed “Ghetto Kraviz.” In 2014, she founded record label trip, which releases records from emerging talents in genres like techno, and electro. Since then, Kraviz’s profile has risen as though gravity-immune.
