Without Lil’ Tony, Finland’s club scene would be a different one. As the long-time overseer of some of Helsinki’s most popular venues since the 1990s (Kerma, sOda, Rose Garden, Redrum, Kuudes Ilnja), Toni Rantanen has been making sure that world class electronic music does not steer clear of Europe’s north. Tony’s DJ-ing ventures have brought his inspired house and techno sets to corners all across the globe, from Tokyo to Berlin, Madrid, London, Moscow and beyond. Over the years he has released tracks and EPs on respected labels like Innervisions, Versatile, Raw Fusion, and Running Back. He’s also the mastermind behind some of Helsinki’s hottest clubs such as Kaiku and Ääniwalli.
