Kelman Duran is a Dominican musician and artist, based in Los Angeles, whose sound is inspired by the intersections Afro-Caribbean music and contemporary US Latinx diasporic culture. This is a sound fuelled by his Rail Up, the LA-based party and crew which he co-founded, and one that’s worked through on his 2017 debut album, *1804 KIDS*, the title a reference to the Haitian revolution and his identity as a black Caribbean.
