Jennifer Cardini had already spent the better part of the ’90s spreading her deep appreciation for the sounds of Chicago, Detroit and Cologne, during residencies at Le Pulp and Rex Club. During exciting times that also saw the rise of like-minded folks like Chloé and Ivan Smagghe in the city, she was among the first to latch on to the Berlin sound that came to be known as minimal. To this day she runs her Correspondant parties at the Rex Club, while also turning Correspondant into a label as a further outlet for her artistic vision, adding to her releases on Kompakt and Kill The DJ.
