Sara Abdel-Hamid, AKA Ikonika, from South West London got her start producing hip-hop, but in 2006, the dubstep bug bit her hard. Since she joined the Hyperdub roster in 2008, she's released almost a dozen EPs and three albums for the label, and on other British imprints like Planet Mu and DBA Dubs. On her third album, *Distractions*, she swerves deeper into experimental electro and bass territory with style. In this session, Ikonika digs into her bass-techno crossover sound at the Austrian festival Elevate.
