Hailing from South West London, Hyroglifics is a drum & bass producer who’s regarded as part of the new generation of forward-thinking UK bass artists. Before his participation in the 2016 Academy in Montréal, Hyroglifics had been and DJing on RinseFM and releasing original music on key drum & bass labels such as Critical Recordings and Diffrent Music. His relationship with Critical has been his most consistent — the label put out his 2016 EPs _All Talk_ and _South London’s Finest_. He’s recently collaborated with artists such as Monty and Benabu for 1985 Music, and with fellow RBMA alum Niels Broos as Rippps — that duo’s _Hue_ EP was released on the off-kilter hip-hop label Alpha Pup. In this session, he brings his slick crossover style of bass-heavy cuts and blends to Bristol's infamous Motion club.
