Hans Reuschel is a German DJ and producer who, while working for Ellen Allien’s influential BPitch Control label in Berlin, started collecting records from the African, Caribbean and Latin American diaspora. He formed Triple A Soundsystem with Hunee in the early 2000s, a precursor to Reuschel’s Vulkandance label and party, a vehicle for his growing record collection. Around the same time, he collaborated with Dirk Leyers for the Africaine 808 project, releasing polyrhythmic drum machine tracks on labels like Willie Burn’s WT Records. Reuschel performs as DJ Nomad, bringing his arsenal of global sounds to the stage.
