A London-born, Brooklyn-based vocalist, producer, sound designer and DJ, Bearcat is part of the female-identifying crew of musicians and party promoters Discwoman. Moving to Brooklyn after time spent living in Berlin, Bearcat incorporates her daily experiences into her music production and DJ-ing style, particularly with the use of sampled voices – confessional club sounds, telling stories to the beat. Recently, Bearcat’s work as a producer and sound designer has diversified out of the bedroom and beyond the club dancefloor. She’s scored a runway soundtrack for a film about the fashion label Chromat, which was premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and for *Discotropic*, a dance piece choreographed by Brooklyn-based queer trans artist and dancer Niv Acosta, which she performed live in Vienna in the spring of 2017.
