For the better part of a decade, BaianaSystem, based in Salvador, Bahia, have spread and explored new possibilities through the sounds of the guitarra Baiana. This instrument is a critical component of Salvador’s music scene – particularly during Carnaval – and it’s no surprise that BaianaSystem focuses around it. In 2016 the group gained international visibility with the track "Playsom," from its sophomore record, *Duas Cidades*. In this session, the Brasileiros perform a highly anticipated set on their home turf.
