You might not expect one of the biggest names in drum & bass to emerge from the serene surroundings of the historic city of Bath. Danny Byrd broke onto the scene nearly two decades ago, and was one of Hospital Records' first signings — he has continued a meteoric rise, with underground and commercial success, thanks to tracks such as "Ill Behaviour," "Tonight" and, most recently, his fourth album, 'Atomic Funk'.
In this episode of No Place Like Home, Byrd takes us back to the West Country, showing us everything from his favourite club to the stone walls peppered with shrapnel from World War II, and plays tracks from the heroes and inspirations, such as the Prodigy and Goldie, who have made him the artist he is today.
