Alicai Harley is fast becoming the face of UK Dancehall. The female singer and rapper who is originally from Jamaica moved to South London and has never looked back.
In her career she’s already collaborated with the likes of Toddla T, Br3nya and Caribbean legend Tony Matterhorn with whom she formed the Hot Shots After-Dark Sound System for the Red Bull Music stage at Notting Hill Carnival; and recently taken Jamaican TV by storm on her return to Kingston for Red Bull Culture Clash.
In this episode, Alicai takes us to the places in London which mean the most to her, she introduces us to her long-time producer Karmah Cruz (who coined the unique pronunciation of her name) before ending up at her record label Parlophone in Kensington to tell us why There’s No Place Like London.
