Colombian singer-songwriter Julián Mayorga emerged from the weirder parts of the tropicalist scene. His music combines elements from psychedelia, Latin American folk, electronic music and sound experimentation; *Atlas*, his 2014 debut, even contained his own synthesisers. In this session the Red Bull Music Academy alum returns to Sónar for its Reykjavik edition with a performance featuring his unique synthesizer sounds, looping mechanisms, rare percussion samples, tropical grooves, vocoders and guitar processing.
