Island in the Sun is the new project of Pedro Vian, founder of the Barcelona-based Modern Obscure Music imprint, which has released music by Inga Copeland, Madteo and Ital, to name a few. Halfway between live show and DJ set, Island in the Sun combines past and present in a hybrid of spiritual, ambient, jazz and world music. In this session expect to hear everything from field recordings and Buddhist monk songs to warm lo-fi house and abstract techno.
