The afrowave pioneer, a South Londoner by birth with heritage in the Ivory Coast, has helped lead the sound alongside Kojo Funds, J Hus and Yxng Bane — they're racking up millions of streams with a genre that blends hip-hop, dancehall and African melodies.
The crew behind Team Salut is often found behind the desk rather than the mic, pushing the sound forward from a studio in Mitcham. Team Salut has secured a MTV Bass #1 and produced for a huge range of artists including Eugy, Mr Eazi, Tion Wayne, Anne-Marie and even Cheryl Cole with her comeback.
