Under the name the Carry Nation, Will Automagic and Nita Aviance (a reference to the ballroom and vogue institution House of Aviance) have been cultivating a New York City audience basking in the sweaty afterglow of their parties, which launched at Brooklyn after hours spot Spectrum and have since set up shop at Good Room. They’ve also popped up internationally in Berlin, Milan, London and Paris, plus Glastonbury’s Block 9. The duo also count abundant experience in remixing and production, and studio works that have landed on labels like DFA, Nervous, Night People and Andy Butler’s Mr. INTL. Long on each other's radars, the Carry Nation have been invited onto Honey Soundsystem's airwaves by Jackie House to share their vibrant sound with listeners who haven’t heard it on the dancefloor just yet, and give their take on New York's gay club scene.
