Headphone Highlights – Weyes Blood: Music from the Fringes

Blending the ancient and the occult into her ideas of sonic atemporality and experimental balladry, Weyes Blood has been working with the North American underground since the mid-2000s. Although most visibly known for her collaborations with Portland-based psychedelic folk rock group Jackie-O Motherfucker (which she played bass guitar in) and vocalist, songwriter and producer Ariel Pink, Weyes Blood is several albums deep into her solo career, with releases on labels such as Mexican Summer, Not Not Fun, and Kemado.
