Quelle Chris is an independent artist with a nomadic soul. Having lived in St. Louis, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles the rapper-and-producer has soaked up the vibes of many underground scenes, but his hometown of Detroit remains at the core of his artistic vision. Drawing from the Motor City’s longstanding musical traditions, his tastes are eclectic – he even spent time in a punk band as a teenager – but an affiliation with the Wasted Youth crew eventually landed him in the hip-hop scene. He’s released nearly a dozen albums and EPs since the late ’00s almost exclusively on the Mello Music Group label, his most recent being his 2018 collabo album with Jean Grae, *Everything's Fine*. Throughout it all, Chris has headed up the *2Dirt4TV* mixtape series and remained a consummate “rapper’s rapper,” which explains his long list of collaborations.
