Description
Nervous Horizon is an East London-based label run by two Italian DJs and producers, Wallwork and TSVI. After meeting at squat raves in the industrial area of Hackney Wick, where they would use their DJ sets to test out original productions, Wallwork and TSVI started Nervous Horizon — the label is an outlet for their slick, futuristic sound, a heady blend of experimental club beats that draw on Dutch house, funk, garage and grime, with a playfully acerbic style of multilayered sampling. Pushed by Hyperdub mainstay Scratcha DVA, and inspired by labels such as Night Slugs, Gang Fatale, Sound Pellegrino and HER, among others, Nervous Horizon has expanded, working with artists like Dutch bubbling beatmaker DJ Missdevana, UK techno producer Second Story and grime MC Jammz. In the summer of 2017, they released their second label compilation, simply titled *Nervous Horizon Vol. 2*.
