Miss Red met The Bug at a show of his in Tel Aviv in 2011, when the unassuming Israeli MC grabbed the mic and went to battle with the British producer’s thundering bass. Shocked and delighted by Miss Red’s talent, the pair almost instantly began a collaboration that has seen her move from Tel Aviv to London, and most recently Berlin, building a sound and label of the same name that The Bug has coined “acid ragga” – a distorted, almost psychedelic rendering of bashment and industrial electronics. As an MC, Miss Red is an unusual and captivating figure. Her voice, a high-pitched, rapid-fire chatter, sears the senses, riding the crest of The Bug’s crashing bass waves with tactility and ease.
