Mach-Hommy is an enigma. What we do know about the hotly tipped MC and visual artist, is that he’s of Haitian origin, bred in Newark, and part of Westside Gunn & Conway’s Griselda Gang. He’s also a fan of unorthodox means of distributing his music – such as pressing 187 CDs and selling them alongside a painting for 300$ each – directly to his fans. Strong support from underground icons like Alchemist, Earl Sweatshirt, Knxwledge and Ka created a significant buzz for Mach, who surpassed all expectations with the Alc produced banger “Brand Name” or indie album of the year contenders *Haitian Body Odor* and *Dump Gawd: Hommy Edition*, alongside Tha God Fahim.
In his first proper radio interview ever, Mach-Hommy opens up about the traditional Haitian tunes that shaped his upbringing, his love for dancehall and Charles Aznavour, voodoo drum sessions, and the secret link between salsa and 50 Cent.
