Lady Starlight is an American techno producer and DJ who is best known for her work with Lady Gaga. A former go-go dancer, performance artist and fashion stylist, Lady Starlight went on tour with Lady Gaga: warming up for her performance in Sheffield, she told the audience how excited she was to play the hometown of one of her heroes, techno artist Surgeon; little did she know that Surgeon and his wife were in the crowd, and they would meet after the performance. Calling her “the techno sister I was separated from at birth,” Surgeon has worked with Lady Starlight since that day, their powerful hardware techno packing a serious punch. As a solo artist, she has released two EPs, 2017’s _Untitled_, on Stroboscopic Artefacts, and 2018’s _Which One Of Us Is Me?_, on Figure. In this Headphone Highlights episode the NY-born, Berlin-based artist presents a selection of techno stompers which fuel her own productions.
