Katie Gately is a Bronx-born, Brooklyn-raised electronic music producer whose work focuses on the practices of sound design. After studying philosophy and film production in California, she began composing music for animation and installation works, and has remixed artists such as Björk. Her solo productions have evolved out of these audio-visual commissions, and are best shown on her 2016 debut album, *Color*, for the future-facing label Tri Angle. Gately is currently based in Los Angeles.
