Born and raised in Los Angeles, Judith Hill is one of the most in-demand and well-known backing singers working in US soul and R&B, having worked with artists such as Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder; she toured with the former on his _This Is It_ tour and sang at his memorial service to widespread praise. In 2013, she won a Grammy Award for her role in the acclaimed documentary about backing singers, _20 Feet from Stardom_, and was a popular contestant on the US reality TV show _The Voice_. She later toured with John Legend, and worked closely with Prince on her 2015 debut album, _Back in Time_.
