Born in Trinidad and reared on his parents’ ’80s pop cassettes, Christopher Leacock began DJ-ing as part of several sound system crews before graduating from the University of the West Indies. Following stints as an IT consultant and restaurant and bar proprietor, Jillionaire focused on honing his signature blend of soca, reggae and dancehall with big-tent beats and underground club sounds. A member of Major Lazer along with international bass ambassadors Diplo and Walshy Fire since 2009, Jillionaire also maintains a robust one-man brand. Besides launching his Brooklyn-based imprint Feel Up Records in 2014, the globetrotting producer continues to tour his Miami-born *Chicken and Beer* parties and collaborate with artists including Jamaican OGs T.O.K., Australian upstart Swick, fellow Trinidadian Bunji Garlin and Fatman Scoop, to name but a few.
