Iona Fortune is a Scottish musician whose work wanders deep into ambient territories. Inspired by fourth world music, eastern philosophy, Taoist writings and industrial electronics, her own sound is carved out of ancient and modern instruments such as guzheng, gamelan and Synthi AKS, among others. In 2017, she released her album, _Tao Of I_, on Optimo Music – it's a record inspired by the I Ching that sounds sonorous and elegant, with a multidimensional feel. In 2018, she toured with post-rock band Shellac and performed a live audio-visual show, Chaotic Profusion, at Berlin’s Atonal festival.
