Headphone Highlights – Henning Baer: Grounded Theory Special

As one of the co-founders and resident DJs of Berlin-based label, booking agency and club night Grounded Theory, Frankfurt-born Henning Baer has become a formative figure in the capital’s electronic clubbing underground. Since Grounded Theory began in 2009, the multi-faceted project has become a taste-making force that’s pushed the ever-evolving but always distinctive German techno sound at home and abroad, and influenced myriad producers worldwide in the ways of a good dancefloor jam. Alongside friend, collaborator and fellow resident DJ Milton Bradley, Baer also founded K209 Records in 2011 to push the sounds like those heard on the Grounded Theory dancefloor worldwide - tough, taught techno for stomping feet and open minds - and in 2016 he started his own label MANHIGH Recordings to release both his own productions and likely that of others to come.
