Los Angelino producer Elon Katz makes a bombastic style of live electronics that he’s playfully termed “citric pop.” It’s a balancing act between his solo albums – 2010’s *The Pylori Program*, on Catholic Tapes, and 2016’s *The Human Pet*, on Diagonal – and his side projects. There’s the Hippos In Tanks-released White Car alias alongside collaborator Orion Martin, which is a kaleidoscopic take on EBM’s relentless stomp, and also his 2013 collaboration with grown-up goth Beau Wanzer, on the Streetwalker techno project.
