Headphone Highlights – Driss Bennis: Moroccan Music

Currently living between Casablanca, Berlin and Paris, Driss Bennis is a DJ and producer who runs Casa Voyager, the label he started in 2017 to release his own music and that of other Moroccan electronic artists. Inspired by the diverse musicality of North African nations, Bennis’s productions and DJ sets are imbued with the sounds and spirit of the vast region. In 2017, he released a collaborative album under the playful DJ Booth moniker, with Whybe, called *In Loving Memory of Ambition*. He also makes music under the name OCB — an homage to Detroit electro — a project which saw a release on *Colony Collapse*, a 2017 compilation from Montreal-based label the Hive.
