Ginga Beat is celebrating a new phase of its lifespan. The programme has started a new residency on the Vodafone.fm radio waves and has refreshed the host crew. Seven years have gone by since its debut on RBMA Radio, maintaining itself as a faithful missionary of diggin’ and the dissemination of the underground “Luso-made movement”. Weekly, every Thursday at 10PM, originating from distinct vertices–Portugal, Brazil and Angola–Lusophone music will remain the main focus, traveling across these new geographies. The programme’s host quartet of major players consists of Joaquim Quadros, promoter and connaisseur of the local music scene, as well as Maze, charismatic MC of Dealema and longtime member of the show, who will investige everything that is relevant up north.
