Kreuzberg’s Hard Wax Record Store is undeniably one of the most treasured and long-standing Berlin music spots. The local and international scenes have formed a queue in front of the shop's import crates for decades, while Hard Wax has become synonymous with a special form of dubby techno mutations in the vein of Basic Channel. In accordance with Red Bull Music Academy’s current homecoming in Berlin, Gerd Janson pays homage by revisiting his favorite records from the wider Hard Wax/Basic Channel cosmos, featuring Shinichi Atobe, Mark Ernestus, Moritz von Oswald, MMM, Marcel Dettmann and many more.
