Gerd Janson presents Risky Business – G.J. International

Following last month’s tribute to Theo Parrish’s quality imprint Sound Signature, Gerd stays locked in the seminal US house section of his crates. For the last episode of 2018, the German club authority travels to 1985 Chicago to select one hour of gems from the D.J. International catalog. Best known for being a building block of all styles of Chicago house, and having released everlasting anthems like Kenny Smith’s “Promised Land,” Farley “Jackmaster” Funk’s “It’s U” and Frankie Knuckles’s mix of “Only The Strong Survive,” D.J. International also pioneered the hip-house genre with acts like Tyree. In this spirit, kick back and let Gerd house you, one final time in 2018. We’ll be back with more GJ selections in January 2019.
