Description
Though he came from Minneapolis, Prince is an ineffable part of Detroit's musical DNA. So as Stacey "Hotwaxx" Hale celebrates the city's music this week on her special live broadcast ahead of Movement festival, she shines a light on one of his collaborators. A poet and singer-songwriter, Ingrid Chavez met the Purple One in the mid-'80s and became a regular at his Paisley Park studio, before going on to work with artists like Madonna, David Sylvian, and Ryuichi Sakamoto. In addition to a chat with Chavez, Stacey will present a mix of simmering deep house goodies.
