Each week, the electronic music world offers up an almost absurd number of new releases, which is why we’ve tasked Shawn Reynaldo with highlighting only the good stuff. And while he’ll be playing stuff from across the electronic spectrum, it’s of particular note that he’ll be premiering a track from the upcoming Anenon album on Friends of Friends. As it happens, the label is also gearing up to release a new album from Groundislava, who stops by to reflect on his love of video games and explain why _Groundislava II_ is the long-lost sequel to his 2011 debut LP. Also joining the program is xxxy, a British producer based in Berlin who’s dabbled in house, garage, acid, electro, bass music and much more over the years. He discusses his latest release, a white label EP that finds him experimenting with a highly danceable combination of disco and filter house-style loopiness.
