Gabriel Reyes-Whittaker makes electronic music under a variety of names—including Gifted & Blessed, GB and The Abstract Eye—but this LA’s producer’s penchant for exploration means that his work ranges from pulsing house and groove-laden electro to ambient soundscapes and pensive sound meditations. His latest endeavor involves reimagining Latin boleros for an upcoming album on Stones Throw, and he’ll be talking about that and a whole lot more when he pops into our Los Angeles studio. Our other guest is veteran British DJ and Work Them label boss Spencer Parker, who will be telling host Shawn Reynaldo about his techno-oriented Brotherhood moniker and sharing tunes from the project’s debut EP.
