No matter how much we all try to focus on the music, there’s no getting around the fact that much of the electronic sphere exists within the context of a whole lot of partying. And while it’s usually a bit of fun, some artists get swallowed in the endless string of late nights, nearly losing themselves in the process. That’s what happened to Belfast producer and RBMA alum Space Dimension Controller, who’s spent much of the past few years hitting the reset button while getting back in touch with his artistic impulses as a newly sober man. With his latest EP, _ReSeq_, having just dropped via R&S, he speaks here about the difficulties of getting his life — and his music – back on track after years spent largely out of control. Elsewhere, host Shawn Reynaldo surveys all of the week’s best new electronic music, sorting through the muck and sharing only the best bits.
