It’s often said that electronic music takes itself too seriously, which makes an artist like Machine Woman all the more refreshing. Although her music walks the line between driving techno and static-filled experimental sounds, the Russian-born artist takes an enviably light-hearted approach to music making. Here, she talks about her new *When Lobster Comes Home* EP for Ninja Tune’s Technicolour imprint, explains her penchant for humorous track titles and reflects on her love of nu metal. Also joining the program is Sasha, one of the world’s biggest DJs over the past three decades. With a new EP, *GameOvr*, about to drop on Watergate (just a few months after he surprised people with a single for Kompakt), he discusses his relationship with the electronic music underground and the baggage that comes with being Sasha, while also discussing trance, his experiences at the Haçienda and his role in laying the groundwork for EDM.
