Every week, the world is greeted with an onslaught of new electronic releases, and the prospect of properly sifting through them isn’t all that feasible, even for the most dedicated fans. That’s why we’ve enlisted Shawn Reynaldo to sort through the muck and highlight only the good stuff, every Thursday on First Floor. Along with the latest electronic offerings, this episode includes a premiere off the upcoming Dekmantel 12” from techno legend Robert Hood. And as always, the program features a couple of interviews: Up first is Berlin techno veteran Fiedel, a Berghain resident who’s also known as one half of MMM alongside Errorsmith. This week Fiedel is at the helm of the new _Berghain 08_ mix, so he describes its creation and provides a few previews of what he’s got coming up on the production front. Also stopping by for a chat is Palmbomen II, an RBMA alum from the Netherlands who’s made his home in Los Angeles for the past few years.
