Nathan Fake was still a teenager when he started releasing music, but more than a decade later, he’s become an ingrained part of the electronic spectrum. Although what he describes as a dark time in his life threw his music-making off track for a couple years, he’s emerged from that fog with a brightly melodic new album, *Providence*, which arrives this month on the Ninja Tune label. Here, he breaks down the LP’s cathartic genesis, ruminates on his longevity in the electronic world and describes his newly revamped audio-visual live show. Also on the program is Shanghai-based L.I.E.S. affiliate Tzusing. With his debut album dropping this week, he talks about his unique background, the unusual fictional character that inspired the LP and the dynamics of underground electronic music in Asia. Elsewhere, host Shawn Reynaldo plays a cross-section of the best new electronic sounds making their way into the world this week.
