Need help navigating the weekly onslaught of new electronic music? First Floor is here to help. Every Thursday, Shawn Reynaldo surveys the latest sounds from across the spectrum and invites a couple of the genre's leading artists to stop by for in-depth conversations. This week, guest host Lauren Martin takes you through the hottest new tracks, and speaks to two underground heroes of the American Midwest techno and house scenes. From Pittsburgh, it's Shawn Rudiman, a hardware enthusiast and deeply respected producer and engineer, whose debut double album, _Timespan_, for the Pittsburgh Tracks label, explores his two decades in techno. Then from Chicago it's Mike Dunn, the OG house producer who brought us seminal tracks like "God Made Me Phunky" and "Let It Be House." His second album, _My House From All Angles_, for the Blackball Muzik label, is his first in 27 years.
