These days it can feel like pretty much everyone in New York has a live techno project, but the men of Blondes started hauling their fleet of gear to dark warehouses long before it became trendy. Following a number of releases on RVNG Intl., they have leapt over to R&S for their latest full-length, *Warmth*. Here they discuss the project’s evolution over the years, their new label home and how they see themselves fitting into the current NYC landscape. Also appearing on the show is famed beatmaker Kutmah, a British-born producer who was a key figure in the LA beat scene until he was unexpectedly deported in 2010. Since then he’s continued making tunes and ultimately settled in Berlin, where he put the finishing touches on his long-awaited debut album, *TROBBB!* Kutmah reflects on his memories of LA, talks about his current life in Berlin and breaks down the new LP’s genesis.
