All artists have their own alchemy, but the Kara-Lis Coverdale story is particularly unique. A classically trained musician who began studying piano as a child, she was also a self-described teenage hip-hop nerd who eventually found her way into avant-garde electronic composition. Following her performance at this year’s Red Bull Music Academy in Montréal, Coverdale stops by our radio studio to discuss her adopted hometown and singular musical approach. Also appearing is London producer DVA, the long-time Hyperdub affiliate and bass experimenter, whose new NOTU\_URONLINEU album is quite possibly his most experimental effort to date.
