August is upon us, and even though we're in the vacation zone this time of year, the bursts of new electronic music keep coming. As always, Shawn Reynaldo is here to highlight the best of it and speak with some of the artists responsible. This week, he’s joined by Vienna-based producer and longtime RBMA affiliate Dorian Concept, who’s spent most of the past few years outside the spotlight while quietly crafting his latest album, _The Nature of Imitation_. He talks about the record’s rough-around-the-edges feel, his relationship with Flying Lotus (whose Brainfeeder label is releasing the new LP) and the difficulties of engaging with the public these days. Also stopping by is Steve Hauschildt, best known as a former member of Ohio cult outfit Emeralds. Now based in Chicago, he talks about his new album _Dissolvi_, how he connected with Ghostly International, the new record’s fuller sound and how he deals with the legacy of his former band.
